Dr. Walburn, D.C.
Dr. Walburn, D.C. grew up in Nebraska, and served in the U.S. Army for 9 years. Growing up, I always knew I wanted to help people through working in a health care industry. It wasn’t until college that I was introduced to a health care field that was so intriguing to me that I had to look into it further. It was the field of Chiropractic care. I pursued an education from one of the premier Chiropractic Schools in the country: Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, now known as Southern California University of Health Science.
My specialty is in the area of Functional Medicine and Biomechanics. One of the common complaints I hear from patients is that the drugs they are taking are not really making them healthier. That is exactly where Functional Medicine comes in. Functional Medicine deals with primary prevention and underlying causes of serious chronic diseases instead of just the symptoms. It is anchored by an examination of the core clinical imbalances that cause various disease conditions. It is these imbalances that are the precursors to the signs and symptoms that are later detected and labeled as disease.
Once I know what is going on in the patient’s body, I am able to develop a treatment plan specifically for them.
I believe Functional Medicine will transform the practice of primary care as we know it. The experiences and results I have personally seen from this type of care have been amazing.
I am always excited to meet a new patient for the first time knowing that I may be able to truly affect their life in ways they never thought were even possible. I hope I get a chance to see you here at our clinic too!
Dr. Walburn, D.C. has had postgraduate education in Applied Kinesiology, Sports injuries, Rehabilitation Kinesio Taping and extremity adjusting.
